My name is Catherine, and this is my craft blog. I plan to write about the things I make, the techniques I use and any hints and tips I can offer you. I am also open to receiving hints and tips too – please feel free to leave me a comment!
A little about me. I work for the NHS, I have been married since 2005, and I have a 5 year old son. I have 2 cats, who are a constant source of entertainment and annoyance in equal measure (why do they always insist on sitting on my craft? Especially if glitter glue is involved!). I play in a band (flute or saxophone, depending on my mood and who’s turned up that week). I can also play piano, albeit badly.
I’ve been crafting since 2005 when my mother-in-law introduced me to card making. I made all my wedding invites, place names and favour bags, and from then on there’s been no stopping me!
My main areas of craft experience are in card making, but I love scrapbooking too. My most used techniques are simple ones like matting and layering, but it’s nice to try new things, and I’m always looking to reuse and up-cycle items for use on my cards. I have recently discovered ATCs too, you can see an example of an early one on my first post.
I hope you enjoy reading my blog, please do leave a comment to let me know what you think.
By the way, the top photo is not the greatest. In my defence, it was taken by a 5 year old!
